The New American Remodel 2018
Farina & Sons was honored to be selected to build The New American Remodel for the 2018 International Builders’ Show (IBS). Organized by the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB), it is the largest building trade show in the United States. Each year, one esteemed builder passes the NAHB’s rigorous vetting process to build a showcase home visited by thousands of industry professionals during the IBS show.

Honoring tradition.
Built for the future.
The original home dates back to the 1930s. The project sits on a large lot in the Rose Isle/Beverly Shores neighborhood north of downtown Orlando, near Winter Park.
Our goal was to maintain the home’s historical elements while substantially increasing the square footage, incorporating the newest products, integrating contemporary technology, and improving energy efficiency.
Renovations
Renovations included opening up existing rooms to allow for better traffic flow and adding new spaces that included: a modern gourmet kitchen, family room, large covered porch/outdoor living area, summer kitchen, gallery, master suite, garage, laundry room, and bonus room with an elevator. All air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems were replaced while we simultaneously added smart home technology, new windows, doors, and flooring.Finishing touches outside the home included a new pool, spa, hardscape, and landscape. Refurbished and replicated original ironwork, and new brickwork, complete the exterior redesign.
Built For The Future
The New American Remodel received rave reviews from the national team and earned Aurora Awards for design and energy efficiency, along with a Parade of Homes First place and Grand Award. It has been featured in national magazines and the TV series Ready, Set, Renovate!
